Welcome! The GP Education Unit is an organisation bringing together support for Primary Care education and training covering Southampton, the New Forest and Jersey. Whether you are considering a career in General Practice, you are a current GP trainee or an already established GP in the area, we aim to provide you with the necessary tools to help you flourish in this fantastic specialty.
Prospective GPs
People decide to join #TeamGP at different stages of their life and career. Current GP Trainee
If you are a current GP Trainee in our patch then congratulations! Here you will find everything you need to know about your specialist training programme. Below you will find our Calendar of Events which includes the timetable of all our educational events on offer. You will also find all the resources needed for each session attached to the individual event, so please check if you need to have a copy with you for your educational session. Some sessions will also have a post-session workbooks, so do check back on the event date where these will subsequently be attached. You can also see a directory of our training practices below. This map shows you all of our current training practices where you could be placed during your training with us. You will also find lots of helpful information here including our very informative GPEU Handbook, AiT Handbook and other information for all training years.
