GP ST1 and ST2 trainees meet on the third Wednesday of every month for one whole day of protected GP orientated education. The current format is as follows:
- 9.00 - 9.30am Coffee
- 9.30 - 10.00am Start - Introductions
- 10.00 - 11.15am Peer Presentations
- 11.15 - 11.30am Coffee
- 11.30 - 1.00pm Peer Presentations
- 1.00 - 2.00pm Lunch
- 2.00 - 4.30pm Guest Facilitator Session
The day is organised and run by the Southampton Programme Directors (PDs). The afternoon sessions cover a variety of clinical topics over the year. The PDs are also on hand throughout the day to offer specific support, career guidance and mentorship.
