GLOBAL HEALTH DAY – ALL WESSEX TRAINEES WELCOME
Fit for the Future: HEE (Wessex) medical conference on global and sustainable health
This education event will give you an introduction to a variety of topics relevant to doctors across every speciality, and will not only include workshops on diseases, medicine, and science, but also on wider social, economic, environmental, and political factors that impact global health. The importance of equality is a common thread that will run through the day. You will leave with a greater understanding of the current status of global health in 2022 and what can you do, as a doctor in Wessex, to practice with a global perspective.
This conference is open to all trainees. It is not part of your normal GP day release teaching and so you will need to apply for study leave to attend. It will be held remotely, and booking is essential, as the limited spaces are on a "first come first served basis.
