Times: 09:00 - 13:00

This teaching session is for all ST1/2 GP Trainees in Southampton and New Forest. The face-to-face teaching will take place at:

GP Education Unit, Level C, South Academic Block, Southampton General Hospital. SO16 6YD.

In this training session we will be working on examination and practical skills relevant to primary care. You will be rotating in small groups through a number of short workshops facilitated by the PDs, each focusing on a particular examination or skill. You may wish to bring the following equipment with you if you want to practice using it:

  • Fundoscope & otoscope

  • 512Hz tuning fork

  • tendon hammer

  • Peak flow meter

  • Dermoscope

Training today is followed by a 'Bring & Share' festive lunch - see attached invitation!
